Fall Sky

Its after 5 late afternoon
A breeze blows over me,
rustling, whistling through the winds, through the trees.
The sun begins setting and no room yet for the moon.

I walk to my car slowly.
Flashbacks of childhood days in the sun flood inside of me.
I look up and see the vastness of the sky and changes in the leaves of all the trees.

Time has moved forward. Years have passed.
Time flies like the birds in the sky, like the wings that soar overhead everyday.

Early in the morn, I see the shadows of their wings grace the paths and roads I drive upon, well before the sun rises. My eyes are drawn to the depths of the fall sky.

The fall skies point unto eternity where the past is seen no more.
And the changes of this season remind me of such beauty in tarnished things, because of only one who restores.
